Department Beautifying Day..

Commemorating the Environmental Day under the Green Gala Month the Department Beautification Program was held on the 24th of June at the Botany Department premises.

Installation of a medicinal plant patch, a hanging garden, a compost unit and many other activities were conducted on the day with the participation of the academic staff, research staff, non-academic staff and the students.

The event was followed by a healthy refreshments and recreational session.

🌮🌮 Let's make our lunch different 🌮🌮  The "Inspirational Talk Series" is organized to inspire students using different life stories and the journeys of academics and other professionals so that students realize that everyone's story is different. Everyone has their desires, priorities, successes, and failures, which would not affect being successful personalities one day.  At the same time, during each talk, the society attempts to introduce essential concepts related to creating sustainable environments and development, focusing on the United Nations' sustainable developmental goals.  Under this program, Prof Charmalie Abayasekara will be conducting the 1st talk. We try to introduce the concepts of "Going Ecofriendly and Zero Waste" and the participants are encouraged to bring reusable and eco-friendly materials (picnic blankets, brown bags) and a lunch that produces no waste after eating (brown bag lunch).  Please join with us using the below link
